Seven Dwarfs!!

The other day we were teasing that our family could be the seven dwarfs. Andrea could be grumpy, Kevin could be DOC, Josh could be GOOFY, MaKena could be sleepy, I could be SNEEZY and Austin could be BASHFUL. Austin proceeds to say no he could not be Bashful because he has only broke one bone. Silly boy thought it was BASH.....Full, like clumsy- bash!!!! I thought I was going to die laughing. He is right he is not BASH Ful but he is shy!

Seriously!!

The other night we were eating dinner and Josh stopped looked at it and then looked at me and said " Seriously... do I have to eat that??" Ugh! He is getting to big for his britches. He is a big help though, he has liked taking care of his dad who has been out of commission for the past 3 weeks- he fell and broke his humerus(Seriously!!) and had surgery. Josh gave him his stuff animal he got when he had surgery to make him feel better, I walked in and Kevin was asleep with the stuff animal and Josh said he put it there to make him better. Tonight Josh had a belt wrapped around him like a sling and told me he broke his humerus, what a silly kid! Well, if Kevins broken arm was not enough we ended up taking Josh to Primary Childrens a week after Kevin had surgery because he was having horrible headaches and we thought his shunt was bad- YAHOO! It was not but the headaches were so bad tylenol and motrin didnt work and we had to give him Lortab- they lasted a week and obviously he is doing better- but SERIOUSLY!!! And the reason I have time to update my blog is because I am up waiting for Andrea to call me- she dived playing volleyball at Snow College (she is there for Snow Blast) and thinks she broke her hand. Seriously!!! Her friend she is with finally called and said the alignment is not right- whatever that means but they are putting her in a splint type cast and want her to be seen here in Richfield on Tuesday because the swelling is so bad- SERIOUSLY!!!! I love my life, I love my kids, I love my husband, But SERIOUSLY!!!

Who taught him to talk????

Silly Josh was talk, talk, talking and I was trying to have him get his Pajama's on. Anyway, I said Josh be quite and get dressed. He looked at me and said "Geez mom I can talk and get my clothes on, gosh!" And continued talking!!! I have to say he holds a record for how long it took and how many words can be said in that amount of time. Quit funny! You had to be there.

All I want for Christmas is a Happy New Year!!

Wow! Christmas has came and gone and just like that it is 2010. I cant believe it we have had quit the year. I wrote a little poem to sum it all up so here goes:

It is Christmas and the cards are not done!

I guess we have been having way to much fun!

So our Christmas letters will be a little late

Call it procrastination, or maybe just fate!

I’ll sum up our year and maybe you’ll understand

It been a good one Its been really Grand!

Andrea ran Cross country and did really Great

She placed in the Region and Made it to State!!

Volleyball , Yah she played that too

So many games we didn’t know what to do!

Academic All State in both sports as well,

She is really smart which is really quit swell.

Sterling Scholar, National Honor Society and more

Homecoming Attendant , her feet hardly even make it in the door.

A senior this year she graduates in May

We cherish each moment with her each day.

Austin played Baseball, Football and his Favorite Basketball

That’s how we know the season by the jersey after all.

12 years old and in the young mens group

Next thing you know he will be leaving the coup.

He was excited he got to hunt deer with his dad

He is growing up quick and it makes me real sad.

Makena, just had her tonsils out last week

A Christmas present that she thinks really stinks.

11 years old and in middle school

She loves it and of course she is cool

Tall and skinny her dad says she should play ball

But tall dancers are the best ones of All!!

Dancing is what she likes most and Im glad

Peforming is something she gets from her dad!!

Josh- last but definitely not least

He got a dog named Jasper and he is a Beast!

He turned 5 this month and to Mc Donalds we went

For a big birthday party – oh the money we spent

Surgeries were on thirty eight

But were not complaining he has done really great

The next one will be on December 30 and we ask for your prayers

We are so thankful for friends and family that cares

Well that in a nutshell is how our years gone

We miss you all badly it seems like so long!!!

Well next year I promise to be on the ball

And maybe I will even make a phone call

But for know we hope you know that you are the best

That being said I think we’ll go rest!!!

Needless to say it has been a great year and I am looking forward to a great 2010. Josh is recovering from his surgery and I have to say it has been by far the worst yet. He got all he wanted for Christmas. He asked Santa for a truck and horse trailer and then when we left said OH Crap!! I forgot to ask for horses... Santa is one smart guy though and he got horses. I love my life crazy as it is and love my kids with all my heart and I know as long as I have them 2010 will be better than ever!

BUSY!! BUSY!!! BUSY!!

Wow where does time go? It is October, the kids have been in school 2 months and it seems like we have done nothing but run. Andrea has been running cross country, playing volleyball, is senior class publicity manager and FFA reporter as well as a attendant to homecoming queen- quit the busy and fun young lady. Right now she is sick with the flu and is not liking life very much but she needs to get better fast because she placed at region cross county and also got academic all state in cross country so will be competing at state next week. Austin just got done with football where they took 2nd with a lose to Richfield (yuck) he did really good and had fun- he is doing great in school and we keep getting notes from his teachers saying so. MaKena is busy with dancing, gymnastics, and running around with her friends, its her first year in middle school and she is really enjoying it. Josh is loving preschool and is clogging!! He loves it!!! He will have surgery number 34 (i think) on November 4th - what a little tropper! Kevin is work, work, working with the flu taking over it is job security for him- but its hunting season so he is taking a day or so off which I think he needs. Well as always I have very busy but also very, very, very blessed and would not trade my crazy life for nothing- I love my family so much and I am so proud of all of them.

Did Heavenly Father Make Skunks???

The other day out of no where Josh asks me if Heavenly Father makes skunks- I told him yes and he sighs and says " I dont know why he did they just stink!!!" After I stopped laughing about that he asked me if he made Wasps. I replied Yep! and he said "I hate wasps- I'll have to ask him why he made them." Needless to say he got attacked by Wasps a couple days before that and he is not a fan! Crazy kid he is so much fun and always keeps me laughing. He makes me realize that life is to be enjoyed not just endured because he enjoys every moment even when they suck. He underwent surgery 33 two weeks ago and has a few more this year YUCK!! and he is such a tropper. School starts next week and I will have 2 middle schoolers now that is scarey, but not as scarey as the fact that Andrea will be a Senior. I am so not ready for that she is such a fun girl and really am going to miss watching her play volleyball, run, sing, etc. I guess I better enjoy it now- lesson to self life goes by fast dont blink- (kinda of like the Kenny Chesney song " Dont blink". I love my family, my life and can not think of anything that makes me happier than being a mom to 4 great kids!!!

JR.PROM and Surgery #31 Yikes!!

I cant believe our little girl is going to her Junior Prom. We had a fun day picking out her dress, there was Kathy, Kena, Kenzie, Karen, Angie and I. We went to Kathleens Bridal in Kaysville because Aunt karens sister owns a store and we were glad we did. Andy found the dress she loved it is Hot pink and black, i will put a picture on when we get the dress we had to order it in a smaller size and they will be shipping it. Anyhow it was a great day!! A little sad to think that my baby girl is that old but another milestone we will never forget!! She is going with Luke Dalton he gave her a frozen heart and had her melt it. Inside it said "Now that you have melted my heart will you go to prom with me??" So she had her body outlined like a dead person on a piece of paper she put on his floor and put caution tape across the door and candy kisses and hugs and ande mints on the floor and a sign that said "I would die to go to the prom with you, hugs and kisses, Andy" The prom is March 21st. Crazy, It seems like I just went to my junior prom with Kevin, man he is getting old!! LOL!!
Josh has surgery on his mouth again on Monday, I dont think it ever gets easier. This is minor surgery compared to the others but it is still surgery and he is still my baby. He handles it all so good that I feel stupid not to. So anyhow here we go again!!! We have to be there at 6:00 am so I am hoping we get to come home the same day. The other day he said "Mom, I awfully love you!!" I awfully love him too!!
